  Job Description
  Performs a variety of facility and equipment maintenance duties. May perform various routine maintenance and repairs including routine electrical, carpentry and plumbing.
  
  --    Maintain physical and information security at all times: respect confidentiality and privacy.
  --    Installation, repair and renovation of some equipment including metal and wood equipment, electrical appliances, valves, gas stoves, hot waters heaters, sinks, commodes, hand basins, kitchen appliances, heating and cooling systems, sewer lines and irrigation sprinkler systems based on skill level and experience.
  --    Removal of snow and ice from walkways and parking lot ramps.
  --    Check all lights in all areas and buildings.
  --    Lays pipe, digs ditches, trenches, and post holes. Does painting, patch plastering and concrete laying
  --    Moving and transporting furniture, books and other items from one building to another.
  --    Operates a variety of power tools: i.e., drills, weed cutter and saws.
  --    Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  --    Performing preventative maintenance.
  --    Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  --    Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
  --    Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  --    Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
  --    Must be able work flexible hours in accordance with the needs of the Parish.
  --    On call 24 hours a day 7 days a week for emergency response.
  --    Assist other areas related to overall maintenance of the system when assigned.
  --   The above does not exhaust duties. Other duties may be assigned from time to time by the    Pastor  or the Business Manager.
  
  
  Job Requirements
  Maintenance Worker Requirements:
  
  --  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 5 years maintenance experience.
  --  Related degree from a technical college.
  --  Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  --  Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  --  Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  --  Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
   -- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
  --  Experience performing routine maintenance.
  --  Strong organizational and follow up skills.
  --  Eye for detail.
  --   Professional presentation and attitude.
  --   Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  --   Strong time management skills.
  Additional Information
  Work a flexible schedule 15 – 20 hours per week, must work each weekend Saturday or Sunday, pass a background and credit check. Must have a valid State driver’s license.
