The baptismal font is a vital and sacred part of any Catholic parish, as it is the place where new life in Christ begins. Through the waters of baptism, individuals are welcomed into the faith community, cleansed of original sin, and initiated into the Body of Christ. The font stands as a powerful symbol of this transformative sacrament, serving as a reminder of the grace and new life that baptism brings to the faithful. For St. Michael, having a beautiful and functional baptismal font is not just a liturgical necessity but a reflection of our commitment to welcoming new members into the Church and nurturing their spiritual growth.
This year, St. Michael was blessed to receive a generous grant from the Catholic Foundation to help fund the construction of a new baptismal font. We are incredibly grateful for this support, as it brings us closer to our goal of creating a sacred space that will serve our parish community for generations to come. However, while the grant has provided a significant portion of the funds needed, we are still working to cover the remaining costs to complete this important project.
As we approach North Texas Giving Day, we are asking for your support to help raise the additional funds needed for the baptismal font. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to creating this sacred space where new members of the faith will be baptized and receive the gift of new life. Your generosity will not only help complete the physical font but will also support the spiritual life of our parish, as each baptism strengthens the Church and its community. We invite you to be a part of this transformative project and thank you for your continued support.
